HUMANISTIC IS A JAZZ FUNK GROUP FORMED BY COMPOSER / KEYS VINCE KHOE AND HE finally found the perfect musicians to realise his compositions . He started writing music in the mid 1990's and just on the strength of his compositions was able to form a jazz rock group 'Mission Ensemble' in New York. Having moved to the bay area some 20 years ago, he was able to reform the group which is now called "HUMANISTIC" in 2007 and luckily found these talented musicians to realise his eclectic but funk infused compositions. The group has taken on the mission to play music to raise the audience's life state where they can get back in touch with their humanity.
Humanistic has played at yoshi's sf, the filmore jazz festival, the berkeley jazzista social club, the san francisco cherry blossom festival, the berkeley july 4th , solano stroll, and many other venues. / KEYS VINCE KHOE AND HE finally found the perfect musicians to realise his compositions . OTOE MORI
Saxophonist Extraordinaire. After releasing "HUMANISTIC", she went on to release her solo album of original compositions in Japan titled "Crystal Rose"
SINCE coming to the bay area, she has played with many funk, soul and jazz bands She has recently teamed up with Contemporary Smooth Jazz artists and producers Joel Del Rosario and Marco Montoya for a much anticipated Contemporary Jazz project release in 2018. Other notable collaborations on the horizon for Otoe’ include projects with Phillip Levi, son of James Levi (Drummer for Herbie Hancock,) and Bassist Michael Warren for the 2018 season.
BEN LUIS
Bassist Ben Luis has played and backed up great bay area musicians such as; Eddie Marshall, Joseph ":Flip" Nunes, George Maribus, international stars Bette Midler, The legendary Temptations. He was in groups that opened for Cal Djader, Mongo Santa Maria and Malo. He had also headed a group ' Little Brown Brother' playing a unique Phillipino style jazz and blues
GREG GERMAN
Greg has worked with various performers and groups such as Benny Rietveld (Miles Davis, Santana), Walter Savage, Oakland Jazz Choir, Ben Stolorow, Mingus Amungus, Terrence Brewer, the Fillmore Jazz Preservation Big Band and the San Francisco Experimental Ensemble. Greg can currently be heard performing with Bay Area artists such as Dave Ellis, Marcos Silva, Muziki Roberson, Mark Wright, Stephanie Crawford, Humanistic, Melvin and the Mellotones, Mary D’Orazi and The Grassroots Composers’ Workshop.
